Lines of black and white run parallel to lush creepers and vines, whilst the inverted straw baskets add an exotic touch. Welcome to the house of Chow.
For Mum, the Duck Special – plated on black stone, a leg and breast of roasted duck with red cabbage and lettuce in a sweet sticky jus.
Mine was the Kale, Pumpkin and Labneh Salad – warm, crisp cuts of pumpkin and kipfer potatoes, topped with moist haloumi, labneh dressed kale, and watercress with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. The sour vinegar tames the rich creamy labneh, the sweet kale and waterness add freshness to the warm squash and tuber and the haloumi adds robustness to the dish.
An impressive taster of Chow House, with clean flavours and contemporary concept. Another visit would be worthwhile to experience the full Chow fun.
