A wonderfully white and blue morning for a European breakfast at Pompidou Cafe. Along Balmoral’s Riding Road, Breadface pedaled Little Brother and I to this pleasing and open-aired cafe.
Plated for Little Brother, was the Pork and Fennel Sausage with Poached Egg and Chorizo on a bed of Braised Lentils, Tomato and Rocquette.
For me, Chickpea and Carrot Pancakes with Avocado Mash, Poached Egg and Passata. The pancakes were crisp and deliciously soft with the sweetness of the carrots and bite of chickpeas throughout. The tart passata with the creamy avocado and juicily poached egg, added to the wonderful pancakes.
Breadface was served a light breakfast of the Smashed Avocado and Cherry Tomatoes on Sourdough.
Overall, a delectable variety in Pompidou’s menu and a relaxed and casual dining experience. Well worth another visit!
