Amongst the suburbia that hugs Nobby’s Beach, the bold black and white letters of BSKT Café have become their signature. With a large yoga room upstairs and a menu reflective of all things organic, wholesome and local, this café feeds the stomach and soul.
On our first visit here we embraced the lunch menu. Mum ordered the Bang Bang Chicken Wings which were crisp, succulent and a rustic combination of chilli and honey. As well, a bowl of Chilli Prawn and Lime Pasta – a colourful mix of soba noodles entangling the spinach, tomatoes, chilli and prawns with a hint of lime and garlic.
Dad tucked into his 18-hr Sticky Pork – crisp shreds of pork rich in flavour with a raw version of Kimchi salad.
Little Brother gazed at his delicious Seared Wild Tuna – a beautifully cooked tuna steak glistening with a soy honey sauce and a wholesome salad of quinoa, coconut, smoked mackerel, cashews and basil.
In front of me, the BSKT Hulk Salad with Smoked Mackerel and Salmon- a large bowl filled with an assortment of greenery like spinach and kale to asparagus and cucumber, mixed with the fragrant smoked fish, all drizzled in a tart apple cider dressing.
Having had a peek at their breakfast menu, I knew I had to return with Red Macaron. One BSKT Big Breakfast for Red Macaron – a thick slice of Angus sirloin, leg ham, eggs cooked to your choice, spinach, mushrooms, spinach and choice of bread.
I could not resist the Super Berry Cacao Pancakes – crisp warm pancakes drizzled with honey, cacao and blueberries with a serve of luscious coconut ice-cream.
With a unique selection of dishes made to love your body, let BSKT Café indulge you with their secret biscuit of wholesome deliciousness.
