In a nice outdoor space with wooden furnishings and mint green walls, Giri Kana serves delicious, wholesome, vegetarian food.
Jelly, Sunjo and I welcomed the fresh spring evening as we headed out for another girls’ night out. Despite its small size, this cafe provided a good variety of hot curries, bakes, pastries, rice and salad. In addition to these, there’s a burger menu and many juices, smoothies and coffees to try. And of course, the desserts – raw cheesecake, vegan cakes, sago puddings and vegan tiramisu.
Sunjo and Jelly chose the Combination Plates. Sunjo had the Polenta Bake with Tofu Salad.
Jelly had Potato Bake, Tofu Salad and Pasta Salad.
I chose the Vegie Burger – crispy, spiced chickpea patty with crunchy carrot and beetroot, assorted leaves and drizzled with vegan mayo and sweet chilli on a toasted Turkish bun. Definitely fixes the burger cravings without the waistline guilt.
The girls and I were full, but had just enough space to squeeze in dessert. We shared the Passionfruit Raw Cheesecake – the right amount of tartness, a nice sweet, nutty base with creamy coconut whipped cream. Delish :)
Another successful night for the trio and another delightful foodie find :)
