If you were to put an Asian twist on the art of French patisserie, this is what you’d create. Casamia Paris is a neat little shop specialising in cakes (petit and grand), macarons and desserts. You’ll find beautifully crafted little cakes of French façade but with the Asian flavours of green tea, black sesame, mango and taro.
Missy K and I were doing some night-time dessert hunting and decided to come here to satisfy the sweet tooth.
Missy K had the Crème Brulee – elaborately presented with a yang shaped brulee which cracked beautifully and a yin ice-cream cradled inside a deliciously thin wafer.
I had the Valrhona Chocolate Fondant with a trail of sugared Strawberries and Vanilla Bean Ice-cream oystered in a Wafer Shell. I had already started drooling at the words ‘Valrhona Chocolate’ but to watch the chocolate slowly ooze from the Fondant sent extra spiny tingles.
I went for a run the next day…
So worth it :)
