I love Jamie Oliver for his high-energy, fresh and passionate approach to cooking; his thriving vegetable forest and indoor herb pots; and his kitchen-top chopping board.
‘Cos essentially yeah good food speaks for itself through its freshness.
A recent trip to Sydney with Mum, landed us at Jamie’s Italian – win :) We headed there at 5pm (as they only take bookings for more than 6 people) and to our surprise there was no line..yet. Since it was just the two of us, we were efficiently seated and walking through the gallery of a restaurant, I was amazed by the size of the place given its location in central Sydney.
Right, to the menu.
We were welcomed with a delicious box of assorted handmade breadsticks with dollops of pesto to taste. Our entree was the Apple, Radish and Fennel Salad – crisp, sweet and tangy..yum.
Next was the Prawn Linguine – tender prawns in a spicy tomato sauce with al dente threads of pasta.
Then came the special for the day, Semolina-Crusted Salmon with Roasted Baby Vegetables and Parsley Salad. Think of it as the salmon version of a crackling pork – it was….I…you must go try it!
All in all, this restaurant lives and breathes Jamie’s love for wholesome and delicious food – highly recommended !
