Elk Espresso

A much awaited coffee catch up was due with Sunjo, so we decided to try the highly recommended Elk Espresso.

A short walk away from the main Surf Parade of Broadbeach, this homely cafe is quite the gem.

As we read over our menus, we caught the sea breeze and sunshine which added to the usual cafe experience. Eventually, we decided upon a plate of Zucchini Fritters with a Mediterranean Vege stack and Chicken Haloumi skewers with an Israeli Couscous Salad. We didn’t want to miss out on the raved about Chai, so we added two Iced Chai as well.

The Zucchini Fritters which were crispy outside, juicy inside, matched well with the nicely seasoned vegetables and delectable Persian Feta. Sunjo was quite pleased with her tender Chicken and Haloumi with a decent mound of pearly Israeli Couscous and roquette salad. The Iced Chai was much needed on that warm morning: a beautiful creamy infusion of cinnamon, cardamom and a bundle of spices.

Rounding up to about $22.00 each, we’d be happy to visit again :)
